SVG graphic for custom heart markers
socket.io for realtime updates
JavaScript for form handling/user interaction
CSS for map + home page customization

backend developed using:
Express server handling API request
MongoDB for data storage
socket.io for real time new submissions
Geocoding system using nyc open data API + OpenStreetMap Nominatim as fall back
